reinforcement is the technique required to make the concrete safe in the tension zone, becoz concrete is having a very less tensile strength(resistance to tension),by providing the steel rods into the concrete we can make the structure safe in the high tension zone also. because steel is having a very large tensile strength, so the steel is placed at the tension zone to compensate all the tension and concrete remains on the compression zone to bear the compression.
